Tigers Experience of Blue Door Cafe

The Blue Door Cafe - Khan Market - Owned Managed by the very Talented Raman Verma . Who is actually a man who runs a Security Agency called cols Security  , now this is what i call following one's passion - he inherited this property and launched two business's Passage Art which his wife manages and the Blue Door cafe .  BTW Raman is inspired by Nigella so u can imagine the portions and the quality of ingredients he uses .

Soothing , with a array of lively colours to greet you , blue personally is my favorite , brings a smile to my face , makes me feel light headed , reminds of the beautiful ocean with deep blue waters . The interiors are beautifully decorated with paintings from famous artist which is a pleasure to the eye .

Seating a bit cramped with the plastic chairs - im petrified of sitting on them LOL . But nice colors which go with the interiors perfectly .

The Menu - Breakfast to Breads to salads to Mains of Burgers , chops  to savoury crepes Soups , pastas u name it the cafe menu had it . Risotto and Sandwiches too . The menu is a bit clustered and filled with goodies on both sides . U definitely get confused . So the solution is go back again .

The Smoothies -when my turn came to order a smoothie my only instructions to the man was - give me something which im not allowed to have at home and he got me a Chocolate Molten Ice - actually a shake . Was kindof heavy lol but sinful  - other enjoyed their Berry Berry

The Burgers - As my fellow foodies on the table said " Fantastic  as per them the patty was well formed - no herbs to kill the flavor of the meat - the bun nice and fresh m the salad served along with it abs fresh and rightly seasoned - The Fries  trust me the best i have had in a long time

I can see the DRoooooooll !!!!   Yes mouth Watering and belive my friend insisted to have the burger the burger way which is take the damn burger in both your hands and just dig in with everything spilling to the sides LOL , quite a sight but thats the way to do it to a Burger .

The Pork chops - Slightly let down by the cut of the meat - very tough pieces but i guess cud  be my bad day - the sauce was interesting mushroom and pepper - ejoyed the mash potatoes .

The Crepes- after a bit of a burger , a bit of the pork chops and yes a bit of the risotto and a hand full of Chips - there came the crepes ooooooo - i love the honey almond crepe - im not very fond of chocolate .
Nicely done soft with just a perfect layer of covering .

A Perfect cafe Experience - going back for Breakfast , The Savory crepes , The Deserts , The waffles and yes yes THE BURGERS . The team is Super the chefs are well trained , the servers are well informed - so overall a great experience at The Blue Door Cafe .
Before entering TBDC had this thing about Cafe Food - they all tasted the same But i was proved wrong Average pricing would be aorund 1100 per person .

Tigers Experience of Soy in Khan Market

SOY ,So Chinese - khan market =

One word to rate my experience on a hot day is “Comfort” …. It definitely adds to the experience when you know the people behind the establishment – the food taste better , the experience turns out awesome – Niten being a hotelier himself has taken keen interest in his restaurant which includes the ambience the food the service . Comfort food for sure with nice distinct flavors . Was quite lucky that the kitty party ladies wereon the floor above lol . Was greeted by a sweet lil lady (niten a suggestion its too hot for the hostess get her a umbrella the jap ones will help her keep her complexion and will add good face value to soy ) escorted up – greeted by Hemant the manager of SOY – Seated ,good airconditioing , and the best is no smell of the kitchen in the eating area . On being seated Hemant insisted we try the Soy Special Thai Mojito – lemon grass based extremely refereshing indeed . The Menu was a pleasure to see a menu which displays the pics of what you can eat – I have always appreciated restaurant s who do this – I believe in a small silly saying in hindi “dikhta nahi hai bikta nahi hai” ,hemant wanted us to order – like a horrible foodie dictated what we wanted – a soup a starter an entrée a main dish and rice but in small portions ; he started of with sir please try the chefs choice in the menu – to which I reacted and said “Hemant today please serve us food which is not recommenede by the chef or is not his choice “ I find this funny why fo establishements have thinsg like chefs choice , chefs corner etc – man who cooks the rest of it LOL. Anyway we ordered a set of Dimsums a mix of veg and non veg – didn like the veg dimsums as the wrappers were stuck to the fillings but I guess the chef had no choice – the non veg dimsums were full of flavor (Bar B Q , Sui Mui ,Prawn Har gao)only recommendation was to increase the size LOL ; A Soup – Curry Laksa with chicken – very original surpiringly light ,well balanced– I asked the chef why – he gave a good reason ‘ if you fill ur self up with a soup who the hell will have the rest of the meal – “lol. Starters a tray of Schezuan mushrooms – nice cud do with a bit more spic in them ; Ant the main course – chicken Basil chilli from the wok – very nice dish – great flavors ;Crispy Red Snapper with Tagy Thai sauce – I always try this dish every where i go beocs I love thai sauce – nice crisp fish – found it a bit hard tho but I guess that’s how it happens when you make the fish crisp ;Asian Greens – thank you INA for introducing these awesome greens to us – lovely steamed veggies with burnt garlic my all time favorite for healthy eating hahahaha; Ya ya a gravy item also prawn green curry – the curry was abs original no extra cream – the prawns were huge and a bit hard – but good curry ; and and and fried rice with ginger and chestnuts – wah kya baathai very nice flavors and singada kee itni izzat hahahahah Desert ladies and gentleman was the only dish we had on the recommendation of the owner – Tab Tim grob (pardon the spelling) Flavored coconut milk with water chestnuts with crushed ice served in a baby coconut shell – so damn refreshing a must try . Overall a very comfortable experience and the bill added to the comfort only a 700 per head yippppyyy was a truly happy man was expecting a min of 1100 per head lol . Soy gives you an experience of fine dinning with the décor and ambience crafted by our sumit nath , the uniforms , the smiling educated staff , the chefs full attention , a well crafted menu and of course Niten the owner hanging around – the food isn’t really fine dinning as we call it , it is basic simple adds immense flavors on the palate – and doesn’t pinch your pocket for sure . Tigers Experience gives Soy a 8/10 .
