Tigers Experience - Select ED Sunday Brunch

Sunday Brunches are my true Turn On ... hungover or not hungover , the fact is that Sunday Brunches just carry the party on for a foodie like me  . The first to reach a brunch is even more exciting . Its not about serving just food, its about serving food with style . It is about understanding what the person would like to gorge on a Sunday afternoon , what he would like to drink to settle his hangover ... there is science research  that goes into the designing of a Sunday Brunch which usually starts as early as 1030 am and ends at 5 pm lol , hence it takes the team a lot to fix the menu the venue .. they have to keep the customers engaged through out , hence  organizing a Sunday brunch is not a easy task  ... the concept is quite simple from Eggs to Meals to Chai and Chakna.

Well this was an invite for a fantastic Sunday brunch by the SelectED team at manesar Heritage village under the supervision of Ishaan Sarkar and Chef Gaurav .. in honour of launching their new catering service for the selected .. so i was yet again SelectED .

Birds Eye View of the Set Up

Beautiful setting Indoors and outdoors under the shade of huge trees .. light breeze on my hair my head was heavy and i was ready for a meal . oh god i ended up signing hotel California for you . heheheheheheh. I love the effort the teams put into looking into minutest of details in Decor , in presentation in ingredients and specially who is manning the stall .. and educated team member who knows his stuff .. not only about how to cook it but also the funda and history . concept behind the dish . I love educated passionate people behind the wheels at a banquet .

Oh Man What a Spread .. cant say sprawling across the greens but the Spread was with Delicacies  from all over the Globe .. and the tag line i would give them is "Just what You need to eat on a Sunday Brunch ".

Tried the Thupka , nice clear soup to clear the hangover LOL, Got stuck at the Eggs station see below for what the Egg lover did , btw the egg fascination never ended even til the end of the meal ... I love Eggs

The Thupka and Miso Section

Tried the Bheja nicely done - you cant mess with a bheja for usre - needs perfect timing perfect playing around and the right mix of ingredients ... , The Tala Ghosht hmmmm passable and paneer Bhurjee got confused between this and bheja hehehehe thin line  - tried matlab just a tea spoon to grasp the flavors hehehehehe

The Non Veg Tawa Stalls

The Egg Section
The man insisted on doing eggs his way .. insisted means insisted .. no fired eggs no regular omelletes but just the way he wants to serve it . for once i surrendered and let him do what he wanted to do .. trust me hat he gaveme to eat with eggs was phenomenal.....

Thats the Way I Do it

Egg In Bao

Made Home Here , Tried all the Bao Bun Wraps .. nice chatapata sauces and just my favorite meats .. I love this concept .. Actually chatpata is the wrong word to describe the taste .. the use of sauces , and sauces which match well with the meat is the art to fil the bao with .
The Bao and Bun Section

There was Pork , Chicken , Tofu, Prawns , Lamb  and an amazing sauce in between .

The Pasta section
The Amazing Ravioli

This was The Chefs gift to me hehehehe, and trust me never had it better .

The Japanese Section

The Truly Desi Section

Nahari at Its Best

The Bao Section
I love this concept of Bao's Steam them Fill Them Eat them and the fact is that they fill my cravings of chatapata spicy fillings .. a sure shot winner for me . A bit of Gyan behind them "A baozi or simply known as bao, bau, humbow, nunu, bakpao, bausak, pow, pau or pao is a type of steamed, filled, bun or bread-like item in various Chinese cuisines, as there is much variation as to the fillings and the preparations"

Chicken , Pork , Lamb, Tofu choices .. read the menu on top to get the exact names .

Home Made Pasta Counter
This counter has a funny story .. we had all finished eating and were hanging around until we saw the guy on the other table relishing this beautiful pasta .. bas that was it .. no place in tummy but neeyat na bahri .. so went to the counter requested the chefs to do us two house specialties and yes they did . One simple pasta my way with garlic chili flakes and olive oil and the other was a stuffed raviloil with pine nuts .. simple yet outstanding .

Had to Sample it All
Let me remember what al i ate on this plate - Dum Jhingri/Prawn  curry steam rice , yes... Dum Ghosht Biryani which was honestly amazing , some chicken i can see . hehehehehehehe

I just tried the Baileys Creme Brulee  which was nice .. by the time I decided to digin in to more stuff on people recommendations .. they closed the counter and thank god . But just read the menu amazing combinations presented by a team of chefs all the way from paris .

Coffee Tea or ......
The much needed Green tea to digest , settle down the over eating habit of mine ..  just needed someone to pick me up drop me in bed .. thats it .

Chef Gaurav .. and his team

Tigers Overall Experience : Do it To me One more time , Please please please .. the most amazing , the most Unusual Spread , the most Amazing food for a Sunday Brunch served by SelectEd Team , New Delhi. The spread was from Tibet to Japan to Hyderabad , to Avadhi, to Goan to Italian.. u name it , it was there . Just what you need for a perfect indulgence on a lazy sunday afternoon.

Each stalled manned by a trained chef  says it all .. they knew what they were serving since they were the people behind the cooking of the dish .. i loved this part  and not just some mundus standing and serving the food .. the passion flowed thru the meal and specially with hawk eye Chef Gaurav keeping a watch on each counter personally .
All i can say is Way To Go Team SelectED. Thank you for making me a part of this Fantastic Sunday Brunch .
