Tigers Experience of Senses at Pullman hotel Gurgaon

I HATE BUFFETS !!!! I HATE BUFFETS -THEY MAKE ME EAT SO MUCH AND MAKE ME GREEDY LOL!!!!! Thumbrule of eating at a buffet - avoid the breads and butter on the table ,avoid salads unless to die for; please eat a light breka - reach the place at sharp 12 not beyond that - as you very easily eat till 4 pm LOL . SENSES at the new Pullman Hotel on the edge f gurgaon - sad approach - missed the turn went right ahead got scolded by wife for being a typical man and not asking anyone for directions - drove on the wrong side to find the damn left turn after the petrol pump at the red light .. believe its a temp hitch ,soon shal be rectified . Lovely hotel Airy bright unlike most hotel i have been too. The coffee shop which is know as the "SENSES " is a delight to enter into the staff wearing nice YELLLOW t shirts with "its a sunday posted behind" - nicely spaced out restaurant (khula khula) enuf place to keep jogging back for the food lol. Senses = Sight - awesome freshness, Smell - fresh pizza's being baked ,touch as per me is the finese in which they look after you which was amazing ,sound the music ruled , the Taste - well what a spread - Asian ,Italian,Med, Indian - woooo right from Duck to roasted lamb to pizzas ,to eggs , to awesome south indian food what a spread for only 2300 AI . Well Tanveer Kwatra was there definitely called out for him as he is the executive chef of the hotel and it iis always nice to hear the connect between the DAY (Sunday) the chefs specialality and the food being served and yes the name SENSES - if the chef is happy with the spread and is aware f what is being served the restaurant is awesome . Now there were three of us and one bigger foodie than the other - We started with the Noodle Soup and Duck Wraps - both were delicious ,the wraps only need to be a lilltle lighter , while tanveer was organizing the same - I quickly ran to the Indian counter and made some delicious Chaat for myself - the sonth was too good - anyway back to the table for the soup and wraps - soup had everything init prawns , bacon etc etc - belive me im normally scared about Asian soups for two reasons 1.i get choked if too much chilies and 2. my wife suffers from IBS so have to be very careful on what we eat - the flavors were awesome the spices were perfect and we loved it - my son made his own soup in simple broth and prawns which was equally delicious - the wrap was good the sauces grt , the duck skin was a bit tough as it was lying on the counter but good. Okay further - OYSTERS - hey bhagwan didn know they taste so yummy between my wife and my son they must have finished the entire lot but thats what buffets are for LOL... I opted for a CRAB Omellete - something unusual - nice but need a bit more flavor of the sea animal , in the mean time we ordered a basic pizza on the table - simple with cheese and rocket leaves - thats our yarsstick of checking aplace for ts pizzas - well tasted awesome not exactly thin crust as recommend by te chef - but wonder why it had excess olive olive on the base .... Then for the main dishes - i tried the 12 hr cooked lamb - awesome just shredded off ; there were other grilled food like fish , chicken which i stayed away from .and were quite full - but never give up - i went to the Indian section sampled yellow and black daal (almost like bukhara) mutton masala south indian style ,good- stood and ate - a mutton tikkas , chicken tikka and asr fish (hahahaha what a pig) sampled biryani -ok ok , BUT the KILLER was APPAM and STEW - man honestly never had better Appams and Stew ever - chicken stew was just perfect and we started with two Appams ended up eating FIVE - rasam avoidable , loads of other south indian food which i dared not to look at after all this ont he eay back tot he table i picked up CHaas and Imli panni hahah- oh yes sheepishly got up from the table after being told off by the wife not to eat more and headed for the desert counter - YUM - tepanyaki Ice Cream hahahah , went back and saw wife had ordered a butter chilly garlic naan hahahaha not good too rubbery but koi na chalega - first time i had this was nice - the guy made his own combo for me in a coffee based ice cream - SO THAT WAS II - what we did not try was pasta , breads , some cocktail counter and salads - leaving space for next time if i get permission hahahahaha. Thanks Tanveer
