Commoditization of Restaurants : Hard rock Cafe is a victim of this - dunno what to review of this place everything is a commodity - the service , the food , the ambience and the price you pay of the same is a killer- The overall experience is awesome for reasons like even small kids are allowed in , the music is retro rock , it has a smoker chamber right there , the crowd is a good mix - BUT THE PRICE YOU PAY FOR THE SAME : One bill 15000 bill and taxes 5500 Second bill 20305 and taxes 7200 whats going on here also they are charging service tax on the full bill and not on the service charge (SOME ONE NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS - ITS GETTING UNAFFORDABLE) AND IN the end on a bill of 35000 paid a tax of almost 15000 WTF ....what an idea sir ji loot lo gareebo ko ..... ok besides being commoditized the food quality has gone down - the Potatoes skins burnt, the onion rings taken out from freezer and fried cold inside , the burger patty cold and too dry , the nachos (the most sought of dish at HRC) with a speck of cheese - the worst part is you let your food alone for a minute its rock hard and cant be reheated as it is already microed; Yet the steak was awesome , some of the 35 people did get good legendary burgers , the cocktails were awesome . The plating looks huge mouth starts droolin on sight fries , veggies, etc but the main burger looks like a small lil patty in one corner hahahaha . The operations manager , the chef had promised to bethere but sadly went off duty - hahahahah . I hold back my complaints becos everything they do in HRC is a documented guideline and they have to adhere to it .Was a suprise parrty for my son who turned 18 - he and his friends loved it - our group which sat a mile away also loved the place as they cud party along with their kids . But Dunno if i wud like to go back to restaurants which have become commodities ???? And i remeber i have been commenting on the best burger in town to be Hard Rock - sorry foodies now i differ . So the hunt yet again begins for the best Burger .
