Chez Nini : Had so far seen the dishes on masterchef but today saw them for real and was so impressed . The Experience: Booked at 6.30 , confirmed table at 10pm call from Nira personally to confirm the same . Arrived at 9.50 table ready - restaurant packed (nice mature elite lot of people and then a noisy lot of so called noisy page 3 people).. lovely innovative decor , a perfect feeling of a bistro in france ... huge menu excellently made all the about the bee (lol)... few limited dishes which was indeed a pleasure to see, good lighting to read what was written. Studied the menu ,asked for Mira she was like on fire in the kitchen hence did not disturb her , went with the recommended dishes from the forum - French Onion soup - Brilliant - the one we used to love was in Imperial and thot it was the best until we had the one here at chez nini - cud taste each flavor individually.... straight to main course - Duck Confit - just amazing looked so nice and crisp ,my wife had it and loved the dressing the veggies the meat (eventually told her to use her hands to dig out what the fork cudn lol) lovely colors a pleasure to the eye and the palate .... Meat Loaf Non Veg (guess they have a veg version too) my son who is the biggest foodie ordered it - so far we had only had the same at oberois and thot yet again that was it .. but the boy finished the meat loaf cleaned the plate in a jiffy - he appreciate the sauce , the mushrooms , the flavor of the dish was outstanding tangy and great ,,,, and then came my dish the Pork Belly - my my what a dish - crackling skin - smooth to cut meat - had actually seen this on masterchef so had a picture of gary commenting ont he crackling of the skin - and yes it was the same ... just amazing with a lovely sauce , super veggies - par excellence - no words to expalin the ectasy in cutting thru the met and chewing the same for all its flavors - dunno if people agree with me or no but Pork is the best meat .. by then Nira came in - she is so pleasant ,vibrant, bubbly , enthu ,informed and sweet this is what makes a good owner of a restaurant . She recommended the Choco caramel tart and the red velvet cupcake - the caramel tart - hm the taste wonder how many of you have had the stick jaw from elloras in doon - same flavor well merged with a layer of chocolate a delite ,,,.... the cupcake (im actually not a fan of cupcakes )but my wife and son loved it the texture the icing fab . Was dying to have a coffee but it was almost 12 and it was nini time (sleep)... Overall an experience , a eye opener , happiness to see such restaurants in delhi , pleasure to see the enthusiasm of nira to venture into this business in a very punju delhi .... WELL DONE NIRA shall see u again soon ... three cheers for Nira and chez nini
