Carnatic Cafe: and it sure is time for Sagar , Sarvana bhavan and its like to move over .
Sunday afternoon as lazy as it can get , a
ritual in the family to contemplate where to eat , where to eat - over the last
two months have been wanting to check out a place in NFC called Carnatic
Cafe but always got over ruled for some reason or the other . Well this
sunday was my decision making day and we headed to the much sought out Carnatic
cafe . This is in NFC community centre , right next to the booze shop lol ,
side of the hotel , behind dominos , below rampur kitchen - i personally dont
like the comm Centre - filled with beggars and very dirty open drains etc etc .
There you see a lovely signage in organge lots of plants in front .. The Carnatic Cafe - very relaxed ,cozy , nicely air conditioned welcomed by this young good looking guy Pavan Jambagi from Bangalore who owns the place , and dedicates the food to him mom .

Simple small menu easy to read and understand
- ordered a Starter , Mains and Coffee Rava Idili - Poddu - Mains - Rawa masala
, Malleshwaram Dosa , Mini Meal and filter Kofi.
Actually dont know where to start - The
Sambhar - exceptionally nice - was awesome after having the crap at sagar , The
pineapple Rasam - something new and delicious - the mini meal - two salads
-sprouts , channa and peanuts - veg korma A coconut curry and rice ,Halwa and there were three other
items - very healthy thali ; The
Malleshwaran dosa baapre made in White butter and gunpowder thick dosa - The
rawa dosa cud be abit crispier tho - masal served on the side - to die for ...
the chutneys so original and authentic (Green , White and red ) - The colors of
each dish were very impressive spelling out freshness .I want to carry on
describing each dish in detail but actaully want you all to go there eat your
hearts out .
For the first time we all said going back
again soon - no one was sick after eating so much Ghee , no acidity - just a
craving to go back soon .Mind Blowing South Indian Food the way it shud be - as
they call it Home cooking .

And yet again visited the house of food divinity - Upma - just too good ; they made a special dosa for me with Cinnamon and garlic masala - the aroma was so cool , and delicious . The more i visit the more i fall in love with the place .
